Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris was born on the 20th of October, 1964. She is an American politician. She is also the first female vice president and highest-ranking female official of U.S. History, as also the first African American and second Asian American vice president. A part of the Democratic Party, she previously served as the attorney general for California from 2011 until 2017 and as a United States senator representing California between 2017 and 2021. Harris was born in Oakland, California, Harris graduated from Howard University and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. She started her career with the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. After that, she was enlisted to join the San Francisco District Attorney's Office. In 2003, she was elected San Francisco District Attorney. Harris was appointed Attorney General of California in 2010 and she was re-elected in 2014. Harris was the junior United States senator from California from 2017 to 2021. Harris defeated Loretta Sanchez in the 2016 Senate election, becoming the second African American woman and the first South Asian American to serve in the United States Senate. Harris was a senator who advocated for health care and federal de-scheduling of cannabis. A path to citizenship for immigrants who are not legally recognized. The DREAM Act bans assault weapons and progressive tax reform. She earned national attention due to her sharp questions of Trump administration officials during Senate hearings, including Trump's second Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and was accused of assault on a woman.
