Maria Elena Bello

 Maria Elena Bello, born on April 18, 1967, in America is an actor as well as a writer, producer, and director. Her film roles include Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013) and Lights Out (2016). Bello has been on TV in roles such as Dr. Anna Del Amico (1997) as well as Payback (1999) and Coyote Ugly (2000) as well as The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), Michelle McBride (2016), and Special Agent Jacqueline Sloane (2021-2021). Bello was the child of Kathy Bello (a teacher and school nurse) and Joe Bello (a contractor). Bello was born in Norristown on the 18th of April 1967. Bello studied political sciences at Villanova University. Bello trained her acting skills in a variety of New York theater productions following her graduation. Bello has her son Jackson with her former partner Dan McDermott. In November 2013, Bello wrote about her first partner Clare Munn's same-sex relationship. She released a book titled Whatever...Love Is love: Questioning the Labels we Give Ourselves (Dey Street Books April 28, 2015).
